Kandy YMCA win

Kandy Young Men's Christian Association scored a thrilling 18-17 win over National Seminary Philosphates 'A' in their inter club basketball championship organised by the Kandy District Basketball Association and played at St. Anthony's basketball courts Kandy yesterday. At half Kandy YMCA led 9-8.

This match turned out to be a closely contested battle both teams pressing hard to clinch the issue and in the end it was the YMCA Cages who won by the thinnest of margin of one point.

The next match between Kandy Cages and National Seminary Philosphates 'B' turned out to be a thriller before Kandy Cages won 22-20 after leading 10-9 at lemons.
