Help for underprivileged primary school
The Diddeniya Primary School was provided with books and stationery
recently under the 'Big Heart Project', the Corporate Social
Responsibility program organised by Baby Cheramy.
Baby Cheramy Gift packs and food items were also presented to the
school. The books and stationery donated to the school were
contributions by Baby Cheramy and the public.
Through a 'Big Heart Project' stall at the recently-concluded Colombo
International Book Fair, Baby Cheramy encouraged people who visited the
fair to donate books and stationery to children in need.
'The Big Heart Project' was launched earlier this year to mark the
brand's 50th year.
In partnership with the Department of Probation and Child Care
Services of the Ministry of Child Development and Women's Affairs, 'The
Big Heart Project' promotes education among children in Sri Lanka.
The 'Big Heart Project' funds the education of disadvantaged children
across the country during the crucial first five years of schooling.
Baby Cheramy this year pledged to fund the education of disadvantaged
children from Grades one to five by contributing 50 cents from every
Baby Cheramy product sold.
