Navy women's team in three good wins

Defending champions Sri Lanka Navy 'A' women's hockey team scored three good victories to enter the semi-finals of the All Island Vijaya Sevens organised by the old boys of Vijaya College which began at Edward Park, Matale yesterday. The matches will be continued today at 8 a.m. and the women's finals will be played at 3 p.m. at Nandimithra Ekanayake International Hockey Stadium, Matale.

DIG Sumith Edirsinghe President of Sri Lanka Hockey Federation will be the chief guest. The results of the match esplayed in the championship for women are: Navy 'A' beat Seetha SC 6-0, Navy 'A' beat Old Vijayans SC 7-0, Navy 'A' beat Sangamiththa SC 1-0, Seetha Devi SC drew with Old Vijayans SC 0-0, Seetha Devi SC drew with Sangamitta SC 1-1, Sangamitta SC beat Old Vijayans SC 2-0, Air Force drew with Navy 'B' 1-1, Air Force SC drew with Divian SC 0-0, Navy 'B' drew with Divian SC 0-0. In the first semi-final Navy 'A' will take on Air Force and in the second semi-final Navy 'B' will play with Sangamitta SC.
