Airmen make a good start

Defending Champions Sri Lanka Air Force made a good start in defence
of their title at the All Island Vijaya Sevens Mens' Championship
organised by the Past Pupils Vijaya College, Matale which began at
Edward Park, Matale yesterday.
The tournament will be continued today at the Nandimithra Ekanayake
Hockey Stadium and the Mens' final will be played at 4.00 pm.
The tournament has now reached the semi final stage and line up in as
follows: Army 'B' vs Army 'A', Navy 'A' vs CH and FC, Air Force 'A' vs
Police 'A', Air Force 'B' vs Army Engineering Services.
The results of matches played yesterday were Army 'A' beat Navy 'B'
1-0, Army 'A' beat CH and FC 1-0, Army 'A' beat Bandaranaike SC Gampaha
3-0, Army 'A' beat old Rajans 1-0, CH and FC drew with Navy 'B' 1-1,
Navy 'B' beat Bandaranaike SC 1-0, Old Rajans drew with Navy 1-1, CH and
FC beat Bandaranaike SC 3-0, CH and FC beat Old Rajans SC 2-1, Old
Rajans drew with Bandaranaike SC 0-0, Air Force beat Old Zahirians 2-0,
