HNB and MAS Unichela enter semi-finals

Hatton National Bank and MAS Unichella entered the semi finals of the Singer Mercantile 'A' division league championship defeating Seyaln Bank by 7 wickets and ETI by 6 wickets respectively. In the game between the bankers HNB and Seylan, played at the Moratuwa Stadium play was restricted to 36 overs per side and Seylan batting first managed only 155 in 35 overs, Harsha Vithanage top scored for Seylan with well compiled 50.

In another match in the same tournament Unichella beat Edirisinghe Trust Investment by 6 wickets. Unichella needing 180 to win reached their victory target via a fine 6th wicket stand between Malinda Warnapura 77 n.o. and Dilruwan Perera 65 n.o. Brief scores. Unichella beat ETI by 6 wickets.
