Farmers encouraged to use modern equipment

The Uva Provincial Agricultural Ministry has launched a program to educate farmers to use modern agricultural equipment.

Deputy Agricultural Director, Moneragala district H.K.P. Jayalath said that farmers will be given water pumps and equipment kits after training them in the use of seeding machines and weeding machines.

The Uva Provincial Agricultural ministry has allocated Rs.2,104,000 on this program.

The program has been already implemented in Divisional Secretariat areas.
