Kelani Cables program in Anuradhapura
Kelani Cables PLC conducted its first training workshop for 2013
under theme Kelani Visura at Casserole Reception Hall in Anuradhapura.
These monthly technical training workshops are for the benefit of the
local electricians. These programs are conducted under the CSR program,
Viduli Kaarmika SubhaSaadhana Ran Mehewara of Kelani Cables PLC.150
electricians from Anuradhapura district took part. The participants were
given a lecture by a chartered electrical engineer.
"All electricians participating in these workshops were awarded
certificates and valuable gift packs. Kelani Cables PLC will make sure
that all electricians participating will have the proper knowledge of
their trade by the end of these workshops," a spokesman for the company
said.
"Kelani Cables trained 1,500 electricians in the latter part of last
year during a workshop at Moneragala."
"The Kelani Visura, electrician training program has reached Jaffna,
Kilinochchi, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Kalmunai, Ampara and Moneragala,"
he said.

This fast paced development has opened opportunities to electricians.
High competency levels are required from electricians to compete with
the foreign-trained workforce and to use the latest equipment and

electricians have achieved success in their jobs and that clearly shows

all members' children who have passed the Grade 5 scholarship
