SLAPCEO to provide advisory services

Plans are afoot to encourage MICE tourism between Sri Lanka other countries, said President of Sri Lanka Association of Professional Conference, Exhibitions and Events Organisers (SLAPCEO), M.M. Imran.It is also planned to liaise with local and international bodies for MICE tourism, the SLAPCEO President said. While addressing the first Annual General Meeting at Mihilaka Medura, BMICH, he stressed the necessity of fostering the development of professional meetings, conventions, seminars and exhibitions and events of the MICE industry in Sri Lanka.

He said that it will work in close liaison with all Government Ministries, Authorities and Departments and particularly with with Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB), Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, and SriLankan Airlines and other airlines, hoteliers, convention organisers, equipment providers, members of the travel and tourism industry of Sri Lanka and allied organisations and stakeholders of the MICE industry to achieve its objectives.

It is also planned to provide advisory services on all matters relating to writing, educating, publishing and printing of marketing material in any form, Imran said.
