Today we carry in our pages a fascinating story of the Demodera railway line and the Demodera loop built in the past by able engineers. It was built to overcome the large mountains covering the area.What was built was an amazing engineering feat where the engineer took the idea of the Kangani's turban wrapped around his head.

The engineering feat can still be seen but needs to be preserved for posterity without it going into wrack and ruin.

So, the next time you travel on the Badulla line keep a lookout for this and have a good look and admire its beauty!
