Anchor Achievers art competition in the South
Anchor launched the Anchor Achievers art competition for students in
the Southern and Sabaragamuwa provinces in Galle recently. The
competition was conducted in the Western and Central provinces in 2012.
About 30,000 students are expected to take part this year.
Managing Director, Fonterra Brands Lanka, Leon Clement said, “Anchor
is committed to inspiring and supporting children’s development and
growth, we believe that this initiative will assist in the children’s
long-term creative development.”“Last year the program touched over
50,000 students and parents in the Western and Central provinces and we
are excited to be able to build on this in 2013. Our Anchor team will be
visiting over 50 selected schools across the two provinces and
encouraging them to submit a drawing, painting or other piece of art,
based on their aspirations and achievements,” he said.
Anchor will be conducting the program at selected schools and the
team will spend a week in each school, facilitating the art competition.
The program will focus on making learning fun, with the teams also
running games and activities designed to motivate and encourage
achievement and educate children, and their families, about nutrition.
