Noddy and his toy
friends
Noddy spends most of his time with his Toy Town friends - playing,
laughing and learning about the world around them. Each of Noddy's
friends has his or her own personality and together help him to learn
valuable lessons - and have fun along the way!

The kindly old gnome with sensible advice. Big-Ears is a wise,
cheerful ‘grown up’ figure - approachable, reassuring and always happy
to help put things right or explain a complicated situation.
With Big-Ears’ supportive presence, there's a sense that everything
will be alright in the end.
Through her cleverness and kindness, she shows the value of
friendship, sharing and respecting others, and so enhances the
understanding of social skills.
Children also enjoy Tessie's pet, Bumpy Dog - like a boisterous
toddler, he tends to jump in paws first before thinking.
Mr Plod is Toy Town's policeman, famous for catching the goblins Sly
and Gobbo when they have been making mischief in Toyland. Mr Plod
ensures all the Toys keep out of trouble. He catches the mischief-makers
on his police bicycle, by blowing his whistle, before locking the
culprits up in his jail.
Martha is outgoing, enthusiastic and a real dare-devil. She can also
be a bit bossy, even rude, and loves playing practical jokes.
Her adventures with her fellow toys help her to see others’ points of
view, empathise and learn the benefits of sharing and understanding.
Dinah Doll is kind and sensible. She runs the market stall in Toy
Town and manages to stock everything from kites to Googleberry muffins.
Whatever you need, Dinah has it, but she just has to find it first!
Master Tubby Bear is Noddy's cheeky, chubby friend and next-door
neighbour. He is also often getting into trouble!
Remember the time he wanted to be a train driver but accidentally
drove the train wildly all through Toy Town? Oh dear, Master Tubby Bear.
These two mischievous goblins cause no end of trouble in Toy Town.
They play mean tricks, try to steal Noddy's car and are a nuisance.
Luckily, their light-hearted troublemaking always backfires as Mr
Plod is always on hand to emphasise the rewards of being kind to others
and learning right from wrong.
