Pinnawala Central health clinic
The annual health clinic organised by the Pinnawala Central College's
Old Boys' Association will be held on Friday, March 22 at the Polpitiya
Junior School, Yatiyantota.
Old Boys who are at present medical practitioners and other health
personnel should be present.
School stationery will be distributed among the students of
low-income families. The event is coordinated by Marasinghe 071 4407860
and Eranga 077 3852202.
GFS variety fair
A variety fair organised by the Girls Friendly Society (GFS) will be
held at the GFS Hall, Green Path, Colombo 3 on Wednesday, March 20 from
9.00 am, in aid of the GFS Hostel development.
Cerebral palsy:
Toddler needs help
Two
and a half year old Sadev Anudith Hettige is diagnosed with spastic
quadriplegic cerebral palsy with uncontrolled seizures (refractory
epilepsy).
He has swallowing impairment and on a jejunostomy tube and drip
feeding where the mother has to feed him with blended foods every other
hour, followed with recurrent chest infections.
The child patient is frequently admitted to Professorial Paediatric
Unit (Ward 1) of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital, Colombo 8 and currently on
treatment for lower respiratory track infection.
The family is from a poor socio-economic background and appeal for
financial assistance.
