Thomas Cook launches tours with Sparklink Travels

A foreign exchange prepaid card comprising nine currencies will be
launched shortly, a Thomas Cook official in Sri Lanka said.He said the
card known as 'Borderless Card' was launched in India this year and was
a huge success. The Thomas Cook official was speaking at a ceremony last
week in Colombo to launch the Thomas Cook European Tour package in the
Sri Lankan market.
He said that the foreign exchange market in Sri Lanka is expanding
rapidly and added that the company plans to set up a branch in Negombo
soon.Thomas Cook (India) Limited an integrated travel and travel related
financial services company in India, Sri Lanka and Mauritius, launched
'European Tours', in the Sri Lanka market, offering a diversity of
products.
The tours with a duration of 7-9 days, to destinations such as Paris,
Switzerland and Italy, Austria, UK and Germany, will commence in August.
Thomas Cook's consumer research has revealed strong growth and potential
from its discerning Sri Lankan markets, and in a focused endeavour to
tap this segment, its product experts have designed a personalised
product for its Sri Lankan customers.
The tailor-made tours offers travellers a home-away-from-home
experience with professional and friendly tour managers. Under its
'Child travels free program', children below 12 will get a land package
free.
The tours will be managed by Thomas Cook's General Sales Agent,
Sparklink Travels (Pvt) Ltd. Director, Leisure Travel (Outbound), Thomas
Cook, Madhav Pai said, "In recognition of the consistent and strong
