Hutch expands service network with Singer
Hutch has enabled its bill payments and recharging facilities for
customers at over 390 Singer outlets islandwide.
The company recently signed the contract at the Singer Head Office.
Hutch postpaid customers will have access to bill payment facilities
while prepaid users can top up their accounts similar to that offered at
standard retail outlets.
CEO, Singer, Asoka Peiris and CEO, Hutch, Thirukumar Nadarasa signed
the contract. Singer officials including Finance Director, Priyath
Salgado, Senior Manager Financial Services, Viresh Gomes, Marketing
Director, Nasser Majeed and Director Sales and Marketing, Kumar
Samarasinghe were present.
Among those present from Hutch were Head of Finance, Ashish Shetty,
Head of Sales and Marketing, Ramzeena Lye, AGM Alliances and Devices,
Ramesh Nonis and Assistant Manager Re-charge Management, Melroy Thomas.
Singer CEO Peiris said, "It is a win win situation for both. For
customers it is an added service."
"Customers can pay the Hutch bills and re-load, while shopping at
Singer outlets,'' he said.
Hutch CEO Nadarasa said, ''Building and extending our service network
to our subscriber base has always been a priority."
"We are delighted to have partnered Singer to enable payments through
their retail outlets with many other additions to come in the future,"
he said.
"Hutch has the second largest 3G broadband network in Sri Lanka with
coverage in all 25 districts.
It delivers one of the best quality 3G services to its subscribers,"
a spokesman for the company said.
