Orange Electric to expand exports
Orange Electric will export its products to all Asian countries by
the end of this year, said Orange Electric, General Manager Prashantha
Hettiarachchi at the launch of CEMS - Global USA and CEMS Sri Lanka 11th
Power Sri Lanka 2013 International Expo.

He said that the company exports to Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, the
Maldives and India and added that it will commence exports to Europe by
2014.
Orange Electric which acquired F.G. Wilson, a power generation
company, recorded a turnover of Rs. 560 million last month. The company
exports to over 18 countries.
Hettiarachchi said that the company will launch within the next two
months, a cost-effective domestic solar panel that could light up to six
bulbs. The new product will help reduce domestic energy bills.
A CEMS Sri Lanka official said that the company expects over 3,000
participants and over 25 exhibitors at this year's exhibition.
Around 15 Chinese companies have confirmed their participation in
this year's exhibition. Companies from Thailand, India, the Netherlands
are expected to participate in the exhibition.
He said that six Sri Lankan companies will participate in the
exhibition which will be a platform for business to business meetings
and companies to showcase their potential. Last year around 2,500
participated in the exhibition.
The exhibition will pave the way for countries to explore new
opportunities in the power, energy PV (Photo Voltaic) and renewable
energy sectors.
CEMS Global-USA is a multinational exhibition organiser since 1992.
The company with CEMS Sri Lanka has been organising corporate
exhibitions in Sri Lanka since 2009. The power and energy exhibition
will be held from June 13-15 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention
Centre. Concurrent exhibitions on electric power equipment and
technology will be held on the same day.
