Construction Expo 2013 from June14-16:
Lanka, hub for construction industry stakeholders
The major development projects that are currently under way across
the country have emphasised the need for construction equipment and
related services.
Sri Lanka has turned into a hub for stakeholders involved in the
industry, Chairman of the Organising Committee for Construction Expo
2013, Mahanama Jayamanna said.
Addressing a media conference in Colombo to announce the Construction
Expo 2013 from June 14 to 16 at the BMICH, he described the exhibition
as the only event in Sri Lanka showcasing all sections of the
construction industry.
It has been organised for the second consecutive year.
Jayamanna said the exhibition would provide an opportunity to the
stakeholders in the construction industry to showcase their latest
technological developments, products and portfolios.
The exhibition will be a platform to network, exchange technologies
and ideas, expand product portfolios and services.
It will give all visitors and participants an opportunity to
experience a wide array of products, he said.
Jayamanna said the exhibition would provide an opportunity for
people, from basic consumers to giant construction industrialists, to
meet and network.
"This year's exhibition will include almost all aspects of the
industry and we believe that it would play a vital role in bridging
various aspects of the industry for the betterment of the country," he
said.
He said there will be separate counselling and financial services
stalls in relation to infrastructure development. CME Asia, the only
exhibition related to construction machinery and equipment, will also be
held on the sidelines of the mega event.
CME Asia will have an exhibitor profile of equipment related to the
industry including digging quarries, digging machines, road maintenance
machines and equipment, tower cranes and mobile cranes.
