Polls chief to declare dates next week
The Elections Commissioner General Mahinda Deshapriya
will issue thegazette notice to hold elections in the North, North
Western and Central Provinces next week, a spokesman for the Elections

SLMC to contest three PCs alone
The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC), a constituent
partner of the UPFA will contest the September 21 polls to the three
Provincial Councils independently under its ‘tree’ symbol. Discussions
