CMI promotes professional management practices
It is vital to adopt best management practices in a challenging
business environment, said Chartered Management Institute (CMI) UK, Sri
Lanka Branch President Rohitha Mendis at the 12th Annual General Meeting
(AGM) of CMI in Colombo recently.
He said that one could not expect professional management, if
managers are not developed to lead.
Mendis, a Fellow Member of CMI (FCMI) was unanimously re-elected
President of the Sri Lanka Branch while Varuna Ratnaweera, FCMI and
Sunimal Weerasooriya, FCMI were re-elected first Vice President and
second Vice President. Malraj B. Kiriella, FCMI, was re-elected
Secretary while K. Dharmasena, FCMI was elected as the Treasurer for the
second time.
As CMI stands for development of the much needed management and
leadership skills, the Sri Lanka Branch will continue to promote
professional management practices and ethical corporate governance
through their knowledge sharing evening presentations in the future too,
according to Mendis. |
