Ayurveda Expo 2013 concludes today
The Ayurveda Expo 2013, the International Indigenous Healthcare
Exhibition organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL)
concludes today at the BMICH. The exhibition commenced on July 12.

This is the fourth Ayurveda Expo conducted by the NCCSL with the
Ministry of Indigenous Medicine, Ministry of Industry and
Commerce, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Sri Lanka Gem and
Jewellery Authority and Sri Lanka Conventions Bureau.
The exhibition focused on wellness, lifestyle and healing, ayurvedic
medicine, nature friendly health food, acupuncture, yoga, meditation,
Sidda, Unani and Homeopathy. Herbal cosmetic producers, health resort
and health spa operators participated.
The exhibition comprised 120 stalls. The three-day exhibition was
attended by foreign exhibitors and delegations and visitors from Japan,
Pakistan, India, China, South Africa and Thailand. One-to-one business
meetings were organised for Sri Lankan Ayurveda professionals,
businessmen, industrialists and investors to meet their overseas
counterparts.
A medical symposium on 'Traditional Medicine' was held yesterday with
world resource persons from India, Thailand, Germany and China. One of
the main objectives of Ayurveda Expo 2013 was to increase the volume of
trade and investment in the ayurveda and native healthcare sector. |
