Kandy Esala perahera

The Kandy Esala Perahera will commence on August 7. The four devala peraheras will be held from August 7 - 10. Kumbal Perahera 11 to 15 and the Randoli Perahera from August 16 to 20. The final Randoli Perahera will be held on August 20 followed by the water-cutting ceremony at the Gatambe Mahaweli river.

Facilities for the devotees will be provided during the perahera season Diyawadana Nilame Nilanga Dela Bandara said.

A large number of pilgrims and sightseers are expected in Kandy during the perahera season.
