Cambio opens second office in Colombo
Cambio Healthcare Systems has opened its second office in Colombo
anticipating faster growth in the next few years compared to the past
eight years.
CEO, Dharshana Jayawardena said that the company experienced two
significant events this year. It opened a new office and exceeded the
200 employees-mark in their software engineering team. The skill and
knowledge of employees enabled the company to achieve a growth of 18%.
"In stress situations where customers demand more, we have to
successfully meet their needs. We have increased our workforce to ensure
that they we meet these challenges," Jayawardena said.
"In 2012, customers accepted a new product in the healthcare referral
area based on our latest technology platform. This was designed by our
software team in Sri Lanka. Another significant milestone was our
recertification in ISO 9001 standard in Sri Lanka," he said. Jayawardena
said that the provision of healthcare for the future will require a
patient-centred approach. "Tomorrow's issues will evolve around
increased patient involvement and increased patient empowerment.
Clinical support services will need to be designed to run at maximum
efficiency to reduce costs; while guaranteed patient safety will be an
absolute requirement."
He said that data security is a prime concern. By using smart card
technology, the systems logs all activity that occurs in the system for
accountability and tractability, configuring a strong secrecy
classification that can be used by customers to ensure that only the
required people can see the information.
