Six months' RI for attacking sister with mammoty

Akkaraipattu Magistrate T. Sarawanarajah sentenced an accused to six months rigorious imprisonment for attacking his sister with a mammoty causing injuries.

The court was told that the accused from Addalaichenai had asked his sister money for his home expenses. When she refused, he attacked her with a mammoty causing grievous injuries. She thereafter lodged an entry at the Akkaraipattu police station.
