BoC launches Debit Wasi promotion

The Bank of Ceylon (BoC) which celebrates its 74th anniversary this month, has launched the Debit Wasi promotion to encourage its debit card holders to use their cards and get bills wiped out up to a maximum of Rs 20,000 per card holder per day. The promotion concludes on August 31.

Five winners will get a chance to wipe out their shopping bill daily.

BoC Debit Card holders could shop for anything, anywhere during the promotional period and make payment through the BoC Debit Card to be eligible for the daily draw.

The names of the daily winners will be published in the newspapers at the end of each week and the value of the prizes will be credited to their accounts maintained with the bank.

Each winner will be notified through an SMS. There will be more chances to win prizes by making multiple payments through the BoC Debit Card. "The Bank of Ceylon is the largest issuer of debit cards in the country," a bank spokesman said.
