SLANZBC to boost trade and investment
The 18th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka-Australia-New
Zealand Business Council (SLANZBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce was
held recently at the Cinnamon Lakeside.
The newly elected President, Chairman, Lidechsi Group of Companies,
Lionel D. C. Silva said that the Council will engage in bi-lateral trade
promotion activities with the support of High Commission of Australia
and New Zealand Consulate in Sri Lanka while maintaining a good rapport
with the Board of Investments of Sri Lanka, Department of Commerce,
Export Development Board and AUSTRADE and AusAID.

as Vice Presidents of the Council.
The Committee for 2013-2014: AGXINTL, Copyline, Dart Global
Logistics, Hayleys Agriculture Holdings., Informatics, John Keells
Holdings, Microcells, Abans, International Institute of Health Sciences,
Waters Edge, Qantas Airways and Delmege Forsyth.
Honarary Consul for New Zealand, Senaka Silva, Chairman, Board of
Investment, Dr. Lakshman Jayaweera, Country Manager, Australian Trade
Commission, Sahmeel Javadh and Ms. Samaji Seneviratne will serve as
honarary members.
Th Actg. High Commissioner of Australia in Sri Lanka, Ms. Sonya Koppe
was present.
Ms. Koppe commended SLANZBC's role in hosting and facilitating
business delegations to promote sectors such as agriculture,
infrastructure, education, hospitality and health, banking and finance. |
