Beefy's Big Sri Lanka Walk



Relaxing after the walk...... Sir Ian Botham, Allan Border and Steve Waugh with the Mercedes-Benz Fleet.

Laureus Sports for Good Foundation organised Beefy's Big Walk in Sri Lanka, which started on November 1 and ended on November 8. All-rounder Sir Ian Botham walked 160 miles in eight days from Kilinochchi in the North to Galle in the South of Sri Lanka. His objective was to raise funds for the under privileged children in Sri Lanka. Diesel and Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO) was the official logistics partner for Beefy's Big Sri Lanka Walk.

A Mercedes-Benz E-Class was used for pick-up and drop-off of all celebrities from the airport, and also for their transportation needs from one hotel to the other during their short stays whilst the walk was in progress. Sports personalities including Sir Ian Botham and his wife Lady Kathryn Botham, Sunil Gavaskar, Sourav Ganguly, Steve Waugh, Morne Du Plessis, Allan Border and Kumar Sangakkara participated. A Mercedes-Benz sprinter Passenger vehicles was used to transport the the celebrities and officials of the Laureus Foundation throughout the 160-mile stretch.
