Dilantha Malagamuwa finishes second at the Lamborghini Super Trofeo
championship
Sri Lankan Dilantha Malagamuwa finished second at the Lamborghini
Super Trofeo championship recently. This is his first year in the Super
Trofeo Championship and driving for the Malaysian based Team Aylezo with
the team owner Zen Low. This championship is Professional and Amateur
driver combination with 11 races around Asia. His team couldn't finish
two races due to a crash and as a result lost most of the points.

Malagamuwa said he is thankful to Zen Low for giving him the
opportunity to drive for his team. This was his first year in this
championship but he improved in every race. Although Malagamuwa races
for the Malaysian team, he carries Sri Lanka's lion flag.
They will have four races in China, two races each in Malaysia,
Japan, South Korea and the last race in Macau. Last week competed in the
the Macau Grand Prix but due to lack of time the race was only for one
driver, although he was not to drive Lamborghini was so good to lend a
car at the last moment.
They had few minutes to prepare the car but was able to qualify 9th
on the grid and finished 4th in the race. The race was red flagged on
lap 6 due to bad weather.
"It was a very good year for the team and we are hoping to continue
in this championship next year. We will be heading to Italy next week
for the World finals which will be in Valellunga Circuit Rome.All the
top teams from Europe, USA and Asia will compete each other," he said.
"My last race for this year will be in Malaysia on the 8th of
December 3 hour Asia Le Man race which I will compete in the Lamborghini
Super Trofeo car with Zen Low and Giorgio Sanna( works driver for
Lamborghini). We had the Prize presentation for the championship in
Macau and Stephen Winkelmann CEO of Lamborghini was in Macau to support
us and attended the ceremony.
Lamborghini and Mr. Winkelmann supports me in a big way now and next
year I will compete in the Super Trofeo Championship and also in the GT
Asia in a new Lamborghini," Malagamuwa added.

the support and specially the Sri Lankan media," he concluded.
