Havelock City launches condominiums

Havelock City launched the sale of two luxury condominium towers at a ceremony at the newly opened state-of-the-art clubhouse. Over 400 guests were present.

Havelock City the largest integrated mixed-use development project undertaken in Sri Lanka on 18 acres of prime land in Colombo comprises residential, commercial (shopping mall), hotel and office components.

The two towers; Stratford and Melford will be 28 stories high with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and landscaped lush gardens. A total of 300 luxury two, three and four-bedroomed units and a select number of penthouses were released to the market at a special launch price on a limited time offer.

The penthouses spanning over 6,000 sq. ft. of space will be designed with distinct features. With large balconies, private swimming pools and jacuzzis the penthouses will have extensive interiors with spacious private lounges and recreational areas for the family.

“We launched these premium residencies designed by internationally renowned consultants at attractive prices to discerning customers,” said Group CEO, Overseas Realty, Pravir Samarasinghe. Overseas Realty are the developers of Havelock City. “With a five percent reservation fee and progressive payments spanning over three years during construction, makes these condominiums affordable and within the reach of many buyers and investors. Bank loans could also be arranged through reputed banks,” a Havelock City spokesman said.

“The condominiums at Havelock City will offer all the comforts of home, but taken to the next level of luxury and elegance with ingenious space utilisation, ample cross ventilation, and splendid natural lighting. Fittings and finishes will be of premium quality, from the designer sanitary ware in the bathrooms, to the sophisticated amenities in the pantry,” he said.

“The Clubhouse could possibly be the largest of its kind in any development,” said Samarasinghe.

Spanning 60,000 sq. ft. it has swimming pools, jacuzzi, banquet halls, gymnasiums, restaurants, squash courts, audio-visual centres, pool bars and spas. Havelock City also has Sri Lanka’s largest elevated roof garden, an expansive seven acre eco-habitat with tropical foliage.

The landscaped garden will have jogging tracks, bamboo pools exercise corners and fragrant and spice gardens.

This US $450 million integrated development project when completed will encompass eight luxury residential towers, and it will also be host to a large and modern shopping mall with world-class office space.

The shopping mall will have a premium shopping, dining and entertainment experience unfolding a state-of-the-art multiplex cinema.

Havelock City is the brainchild of Overseas Realty, a BOI approved and quoted company which is also the owner, developer, manager of the World Trade Centre, Colombo. Havelock City is a joint venture between Overseas Realty and the Bank of Ceylon.
