Kelani Cables goes for CFL bulbs

Kelani Cables PLC has added to its product range CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lamp) and GLS (General Lighting System) bulbs to the local market.

The new products of the company were launched recently at the Hotel Taj Samudra. Being one of Sri Lanka's top brands in electrical and communication cables, Kelani Cables has introduced the CFL product range under the theme, 'Towards the light with secure means'.

"The Kelani CFL bulb range is cost-effective and has a warranty period," a company spokesman said.

"The CFL bulb has been manufactured to be on a par with global standards. The product has received the star certificate of the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority, the Sri Lanka Standard Institution and the international quality standard certificate ISO 9000:14000 for environmental preservation," he said.

"The Kelani CFL bulb range which is made using 'Amalgam' technology, withstands fluctuations in electricity supply, which is a common occurrence in Sri Lanka," the spokesman said.
