Honeymoon couple robbed

A newly married couple, a Singaporean businessman and a Philippine woman who had arrived in Sri Lanka to enjoy their honeymoon, had checked into a room on the second floor of a three-storied luxurious building at Maradana in Beruwala recently.

An unidentified person, who was attired in black clothes, had forcibly entered the room, threatened the couple, and looted 433 Singapore dollars and Rs.110,000 and escaped. Beruwala police are conducting investigations.
