SLT connects CHOGM media centre

Sri Lanka's telecommunications giant SLT, enabled integrated, intelligent business communication solutions at the recently concluded CHOGM Media Centre at the BMICH.

More than 900 journalists, representing approximately 400 local and 500 foreign media organisations including popular international media institutions such as BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, Sky News, AFP, Reuters, AP and Hindu reported and broadcast CHOGM activities from Sri Lanka to the world from this media centre.

GlobeCast, the global content management and distribution company was appointed by the organisers to undertake television transmission. GlobeCast Africa, Project Manager Stefan Wiederkehr said, "It was really exciting to witness and experience Sri Lanka's readiness in everything. I dealt with the team at Sri Lanka Telecom only through a few emails and I was surprised at their prompt response. The main problem we face in events of this nature is delivery from suppliers."
