Free travel passes for journalists in SPC

The presentation of free bus passes for nearly 150 and fifty electronic and print media journalists of Ratnapura and Kegalle districts in the province of Sabaragamuwa took place recently at the Sabaragamuwa PC auditorium.

This facility is enjoyed by the journalists since year 2008 under the concept of the Sabaragamuwa Chief Minister, Mahipala Herath.

Addressing the journalists, Chief Minister Mahipala Herath said that due to systematic supply of the provincial information for the public, the Sabaragamuwa journalists paved way for the Sabaragamuwa PC to become the best provincial media unit in the country.

He recalled that President Mahinda Rajapaksa also praised the Sabaragamuwa PC media unit for its best performance.
