New leader to take on Bell Boys
The internal power struggle of the Bell Party has reached its climax
with Soo-me, the One-sa being forced to quit peacefully. However, the
senior Bell Boys have decided not to wash dirty linen in public, unlike
the You-En-Pee. Till-Van is playing a key role behind the scenes but
Anura Prince is playing a foul game against Lull Kanth. Even the outcome
of today's convention will not give a true picture.
Power-hungry Big Lady of two minds
The Retired Big Lady is conspiring to ascertain whether the political
climate is conducive for her to return to active politics. Nevertheless,
she is of two minds - whether she should come out of retirement saying
nothing is permanent according to Buddhism and moreover, she wouldn't
rule out the possibility of becoming the common candidate at the nest
Prez polls.
Love-Slave's tendentious campaign
Saa-jeet, the Love-Slave has embarked on a tendentious election
campaign. He has told confidants that the Greens would win only
Hambantota and lose all other districts in the Southern and Western at
the PC polls. It is clear that Love-Slave only wants to prove his
popularity and become the leader and not make the Elephant Party
victorious.
Ra-Blue settles for One Shot
Ra-Blue initially didn't favour One Shot's plea to become the Green's
chief ministerial candidate for the Western as it would pose a threat to
his plan to groom Gem Wije as his successor. But Ra-Blue has little or
no option now as the Greens are unable to find a suitable candidate. One
Shot's candidature would also be a big blow to Love-Slave's reformists. |
