Rashmika and Tharindu excel in drawn game

Set to score 190 runs in 28 overs the school cricket encounter
between S.Thomas' and St.Peter's ended in a draw at Mount Lavinia
yesterday.
There were two notable performances by the Thomians Rashmika Opatha
striking a well made 101 off 180 deliveries with 15 fours and a six and
a match bag of 9 for 79 by Tharindu Ratnayake who went on to capture his
54th wickets for the season.

Richmond take major honours
St. Joseph's were held to a draw but could not prevent Richmond
taking first innings honours in their school cricket encounter ended at
darley Road yesterday.
In reply to the Joes first innings total of 202 the Richmondites were
134 for 3 overnight and proceeded to total 267 for 9 declared. Sithara
Gimhana (54), Vanidu Hasaranga (36) and Paasindu Pinsara (48) saw the
Galle school over take the Joes total.
The Josephians in their second innings were 124 for 9 in 59 overs.
Skipper Dylan Fernandopulle (40) was the top scorer and Varuna
Deshapriya bowled best for Richmond taking a match bag of 12 for 116).
