Competition on emergency care

"He stands erect by bending over the fallen. He rises by lifting others....." characteristics of a first aid giver honoured in one of the famous quotes by Robert Green Ingersoll, a civil war veteran and a popular lawyer from 19th century, America.

Since then first aid delivery has never been as well trained as today, as it is observed and followed from school going age.

Among them the Ananda College Saukyadana movement is a strong force, acting to sustain the quality of first aid care. The movement will host an emergency care competition 'MEDICAL-it' parallel to their annual first aid day commemoration 'Arogya-2014' due to be held on February 28.

Participating school teams were put through a thorough assessment on basic first aid by a group of doctors representing edoctor.lk and edoctor.lk and nursing officer and the national coordinator in emergency care training, Miss Pushpa Ramyani Zoysa.
