Dear children,

February is drawing to a close and this year it has only 28 days.

Most of you may be aware that the Calendar rhyme, 'Thirty days hath September, April, June and November which has the line 'February has twenty-eight days clear and twenty-nine in each Leap Year'. So children only in the Leap Year does February have 29 days.

This being the first term for most of you, many of you must be getting ready for the school sports meet and the boys' schools will in addition be getting ready for the big matches. Remember that whatever you do, you must be watchful during playing time and don't get involved unnecessarily in anything that you should be not doing. It is paramount that you take care of yourself while playing games.
