International Women's Day on March 5

Saviya Women's Organisation in association with Saviya Development Foundation and Institute of Vocational Studies (Pvt) Ltd. will celebrate International Women's Day 2014 on March 5 at Sanasa Auditorium Nupe, Matara from 8.30 a.m.

Inaugural sessions of Women's Day celebrations will be presided by Agriculture Minister Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena. A national level Art and Poster exhibition will be opened by the Minister. Arrangements have been made to offer cash prizes to the winners of Art and Poster competition.

Governor Southern Province Dr. Kumari Balasuriya as the Chief Guest and Investment Promotion Minister Laksman Yapa Abeywardena, Laksman Yapa Foundation Chairperson Padmini Yapa Abeywardena, Managing Director Institute of Vocational Studies (Pvt) Ltd. Prof. Vijitha Senanayaka are expected to attend the Diriya Prasadini Awards Ceremony and distribution of prizes and certificates to the winners of the national level competition at 3.30 p.m.
