No national flags at election rallies

The Elections Commissioner has informed all candidates contesting the Western and Southern Provincial Council Election that they should not use the National flag in election propaganda activities.

The pictures of founders of religious places of worship should not also be used in political propaganda work during the election time.

Offenders will be dealt with according to the law, a senior official of the Elections Department in Kurunegala said.
