Kandy SC in 29-12 win over Army

Former League champions Kandy Sports Club ended their Dialog ‘A’ Division League campaign on a winning note by beating Army Sports Club by 29 points (three goals, one try, one penalty) to 12 (one goal, one try) after leading 22-7 at the breather in their final League match played at the Race Course grounds yesterday.

Fullback Thilina Wijesinghe (two), scrum-half Roshan Weeraratne (one) and Samoan Sailosi (one) scored the tries for Kandy SC with Roshan Weeraratne, Fazil Marija and Thilina Wijesinghe making the conversions while Thilina also put over penalty for the winners.
