EFC provides consultancy services

The Employers' Federation of Ceylon (EFC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Standard Chartered Bank to provide in-house consultancy services to the Bank through one of its Industrial Relations advisors.

In addition to obtaining day-to-day advice from the EFC, it has been called upon to provide the in-house service once a week for a given period.

The EFC provides this service to other members as well, recognising that more companies would need guidance and advice in their HR departments on a more regular basis.

Director General, EFC, Ravi Peiris said, "We have always been sensitive to the needs of our members.

We see an opportunity to provide this direct service to members who need it.

We can provide expertise to strengthen procedures and systems or even set up a HR Division in a company that needs it. We believe that this new service will be mutually beneficial and would add capacity and value to both organisations."
