Mahindodaya Laboratories for all NWPC schools

Mahindodaya laboratories have been set up in 127 government schools in the Kurunegala and Puttalam Districts under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The project anticipates to equip students with technological skills for a better future.

Over 800 students of low-income groups who had passed the G.C.E. (O/L) 2013 have been awarded presidential scholarships to pursue higher studies upto university level.

There are 27,000 teachers and 498,000 students and 31 English medium schools in the NWP to improve the English Language skill said NWP chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera at a ceremony held at Kurunegala Maliyadewa Girls School to award 800 presidential scholarships to low income students.

Provincial Director of Education J.G.N. Thilakaratne was also present.
