Unprecedented income from Botanical gardens

National Botanical Gardens Department has earned Rs. 157 million during the first three months of 2014. Local and Foreign tourists visit botanical gardens and hence the Department has earned such a good income during a three months.

The botanical gardens at Peradeniya, Haggala, Gampaha, Mirijjawila (Hambantota), Ilukowita, Ganewatta herbal Garden and Narahenpita have contributed for the earning said Minister of Public Recreation and Botanical Gardens Jayaratne Herath.
