AMW launches Nissan 370Z
Associated Motorways (Pvt) Ltd, recently introduced the Nissan 370Z
to local enthusiasts. The 370Z is the sixth-generation of the Nissan
Z-car line, succeeding the 350Z.
A pioneer in the country’s tyre retreading industry, Associated
Motorways (Private) Limited, popularly known as AMW, is a respected
company in Sri Lanka with 65 years of service experience.
AMW's core business sectors are tyre retreading, automotive sales and
after-sales service, lubricants, batteries and tyres and financial
services (leasing and hire purchase).
NDB launches ‘Home Loan Max’
NDB has revolutionised the banking industry with the introduction of
NDB Home Loan Max, a novel solution that allows those who have obtained
housing loans to expand their financial flexibility.
NDB Home Loan Max is a second loan offered to customers that have
obtained housing loans from NDB or any other financial institute. It
will be granted to fulfill the customer’s lifestyle desires such as home
improvement, overseas travel, pursuing higher education and even meeting
wedding expenses.
ICT workforce up by 50%
The total workforce in the Information and Communication Technology
sector (ICT) in Sri Lanka witnessed a 50 percent increase in 2013
compared to 2010, according to the latest survey conducted by
Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA).
The ICT workforce in Sri Lanka now stands at 75,107 compared to
50,159 in 2010, the report said.
In 2013, Information and Communication Technology-related companies
(40.8%), Non-Information and Communication Technology private companies
(47.1%), government-owned institutions (7.8%) and business outsourcing
establishments (4.2%) absorbed this workforce, the ICTA survey report
revealed.
BBDO pays tribute to cricket team
BBDO Lanka has paid tribute to the 2014 ICC World Cup Twenty20
winning Sri Lankan cricket team with ‘Tropical Kings’, a trilingual
music video celebrating the victory and praising the Lankan team for
their achievement.
Indian Chamber holds exhibition
A three-day ‘Exhibition and Buyer-Seller Meet' will be held at the
BMICH from tomorrow.
A business session on 'Investment Opportunities in the Construction
Sector of Sri Lanka' will be held on May 20 from 11.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m
at the same venue. The conference is organised by the Indian Chamber of
Commerce and Industries (ICCI) with the support of the National Chamber
of Commerce of Sri Lanka.
Over 50 exhibitors from India will take part in the exhibition.
Representatives of the construction industry of India and Sri Lanka will
participate in the business session which will help pave the way for
collaborative ventures. |
