People's Bank joins WCY

A section of youth who visited the People’s Bank stall, fill application forms to enrol in the People’s Mobile Banking Service.

The People's Bank marked its presence at the World Conference on Youth (WCY) which took place from May 6-10 at the BMICH by setting up an exhibition stall at the venue which served as a platform to educate the participants at the Conference on the role played by the Bank in supporting the government in its progressive developmental initiatives.

The 15th World Conference on Youth brought together about 1,500 young people from every continent and region in the globe identified as being conventionally unrepresented or under-represented, thus affording them a forum to have their voices heard.

The People's Bank stall drew the attention of a large number of Sri Lankan and foreign youth.

Many visited the stall to learn about the latest banking products and services that have been launched by the Bank to facilitate efficient and convenient banking.

Some of them enrolled in the People's Mobile Banking Service. During the promotion, the Bank also opened many YES Savings Accounts, a savings product dedicated to the country's youth.

Many special banking products such as the People's Wisdom Education Loans, People's Professional Loans and People's Auto Loans were also introduced.
