SLIM sponsors young marketeers

The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) has provided an opportunity to two budding marketeers for represent Sri Lanka at the Cannes Lions 2014 festival in France.

SLIM with the International Advertising Association (IAA) and Metal Factor, has provided sponsorship to the winners Fathima Munazza Raffeek and Vidhushi Rambukwella from Unilever Sri Lanka to be a part of Cannes Lions 2014.

They will get the opportunity to rub shoulders with young marketing talent from around the world in Cannes. Cannes Lions has been the world's biggest celebration of creativity in communications since 1954 and benchmarks innovation in anything from mobile and billboards to design and branded content.

It has been three years since this festival opened its doors to marketeers and SLIM is best suited to promote this festival locally as the national body for marketing.

In selecting the winners, SLIM conducted a workshop for participants and gaming sessions after which the team presentation were judged by an eminent panel of judges.
