Farmers’ pension resumed

The Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board has made arrangements to pay farmers’ pension benefits to the beneficiaries islandwide through post offices. Accordingly, those who are entitled pension benefits can draw their pensions from post offices islandwide from 7th to 22nd of every month.

The Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Boards requests these pensioners to obtain their entitlements within this specific duration. However, if anybody fails to get his or her pension within this particular period of time, the specific form designed for that purpose has to be completed and return to the headquarters of the Insurance Board to make the due payment, a Senior Director of Agriculture in Kurunegala R.M. Jayawardena told Sunday Observer.
