Jobs for pensioners

The government has decided to recruit government pensioners to the state service again mainly due to the non-availability of technical officers to estimate and supervise the development programs launched islandwide by the Economic Development Ministry, Kalutara District Secretary U.D.C. Jayalal said recently.

The Kalutara District Secretary further said that, all the financial allocations have been met by the Economic Development Ministry for the Kalutara district and the newly recruited technical officers are expected to complete all the pending developmental projects carried out by the Economic Development Ministry, in the Kalutara district within this year.
