Skin disease spreads in Matale

A skin disease is spreading in the Matale district and over 25 patients have been identified in the area, and 12 of them are in Galewela health division, the health officials said.

They said that the disease originated from goats brought by the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) and it has passed a threat to human lives.

The Health Department, has taken steps to check the spread of the disease.
