British School, Colombo under 12 Twenty20 cricket champs

The British School in Colombo under 12 team put up a good performance to emerge champions at the 4th SCA TYCDIEP International Junior Twenty20 Cricket Tournament worked off in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last week.The British School team captained by Kavinda Subasinghe remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and went on to beat the KCA Cricket College team from Australia by a convincing margin of 58 runs in the final encounter.

In the semi-finals, the British School trounced FCA Sports School Pakistan by 94 runs after having earlier defeated KCK College Malaysia by a huge 135 runs and RSC College India by 76 runs during the preliminary round.

British School skipper Kavinda Subasinghe was selected as the Best Wicket-Keeper and Best All rounder of the tournament while Pradyun Saikia was named best batsman of the tournament.
