NCPA nabs internet culprits

The National Child Protection Authority NCPA said that 200 persons attempted to commit child abuse by using the internet. six of them have been identified and arrested by the National Child Protection Authority.

Among them, there are professionals and public servants, said attorney-at-law Anoma Dissanayake and the chairman of NCPA at a conference of school child abuses in the Kurunegala district.

"400 workshops would be held for parents, school teachers and school heads in the NWP during the next three months to educate them on the proper use of internet and face book", said the Zonal Director of Education C.M. Dissanayake.
