ATML launches ASTRUE Alpha Fund

Asset Trust Management (Pvt) Ltd (a unit trust management company licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC)), has launched its first equity fund, the ‘ASTRUE Alpha Fund’, which is an open ended equity fund that will invest in stocks listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange.

Dynamically managed, the fund will use an active investment style designed to generate returns under a wide range of market conditions with emphasis on capital preservation. Fundamentally focused, the fund is aimed at long term investors seeking to achieve consistent returns over a complete market cycle. The Manager and Registrar to the ASTRUE Alpha Fund is Asset Trust Management (Pvt) Ltd while the Trustee and Custodian is Deutsche Bank AG, Colombo.

The ASTRUE Alpha Fund is managed by an investment management team with years of capital market experience.

The Board is spearheaded by prominent personalities in the field of finance such as Dr. Wickrama Weerasooria, Mangala Boyagoda, Eastman Narangoda, Upali Witharana and Dilshan Hettiarachchi.

The fund is now open for subscription at Rs.10 per unit. Initial subscriptions will close on July 31, 2014.
